Segment 1: Basketball
WVU loses to Oklahoma, 72-59
- The few people in attendance were treated to some bad basketball.
- At one point WVU was 0-14...this was over an 8:00 span of not scoring.
- Huggs quotes:
- Huggs started off this week saying 2 to 4 freshman will see "Taz Sherman-like" minutes next season.
- Says he needs to do something so he doesn't lose credibility because he needs that to rebuild this team next year.
- He also said "a guy or two won't be suited up when we play again" and then proceeded to play all the same people he always plays against TCU.
- Huggs said he was embarrassed and had some guys that "don't listen, don't care".
- Huggs met with the Freshman earlier this week about rebuilding.
WVU beats TCU at home, 70-64
- People once again showed up in numbers at the Coliseum.
- Taz Sherman was honored on Senior Day as part of 7 WVU Seniors.
- Taz goes for 25, while Curry, McNeil, and Bridges each add 10 a piece.
- Snaps a 7 game losing streak, and finishes the season at 15-16.
- WVU announces the 68th Mountaineer Mascot at this game, Mary Roush.
- Gabe named the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year and named to the Big 12 All-Defensive Team.
- Taz Sherman named to the All-Big 12 Second Team and Sean McNeil named to the All-Big 12 Honorable Mention list.
- I put out a poll about the number of returners next season from this basketball roster and an overwhelming number of the 16 people that responded agreed with my estimate of 4 or less.
- WVU releases next season's non-conference schedule.
- Includes Pitt, a November tournament, and a January tournament.
- There are rumors of the NCAA potentially announcing penalties to Kansas between now and tournament time.

Football
- Tony Washington says it's an exciting time to be a WR at WVU. So, there's that.
- Coach Brown speaks to the media:
- Brown says this is the hungriest and most competitive team he's had at WVU.
- Says he's not saying anything negative about portal transfers, only talking about guys that are here.
- WVU added grad transfer kicker from Florida State, Parker Grothaus.
Baseball
- WVU jumped all over Canisius in their home opener, 17-3.
- Took a 5-4 victory over Minnesota.
- Moved them to 7-2 on the season.
- WVU then takes a loss to Illinois, 6-2.
Other
- Pat McAfee is getting a chance to wrestle at WrestleMania.
- The AAC says that UH needs to pony up another $35 million if they want to be in the Big 12 in 2023.
