Football's national signing day, Youngstown State win that nobody saw, and we hand out Christmas gifts.
Summary
Show Notes:
Segment 1: National Signing Day Recap
Segment 2: Basketball
- No TV. SUCKS. Apparently since it is a Youngstown home game they have to manage TV broadcast, and didn't. WVU offered to help...but it never came together.
- YSU 38 WVU 35, half. Woof. Huggs may set fire to the locker room at the half I have a feeling.
Some guy named Quisenberry (!; can only assume Dan’s son) has 15 (!) points for YSU.
- Rough day for the guards Knapper, McNeil, and McCabe:
(Brandon Knapper: 4 minutes, 2 personal fouls, 0-2 fg, 1 turnover; McNeil: 0-4; McCabe: 1-5, all threes).
- Maybe not fair in hindsight; Haley was a presence again this game with 11, Harler was 3-3, McBride went for 10 pts & 5 rebounds, and Sherman had 10 pts.
- It feels like if this team had a Juwan Staten or a Jevon Carter, Darris Nichols, someone like that to feed Culver / Oscar they’d be awesome.
- WVU 15 assists. Culver had 7 of them. McCabe, Haley, Harler, Knapper, McBride, McNeil, Sherman (also known as ALL THE GUARDS): 5 assists.
- 5-18 from 3...
- Oscar / Culver 15-22, rest of team 15-42. Culver finished 15, 7, and 7. Tough. Oscar 19 and 6.
- After watching some of Ohio State vs Kentucky, we will need a much better effort against the Buckeyes.
Segment 3: 2019 WVU Christmas Gifts
- Scoot, Johnson and Gweedoe give Gifts to WVU Coaches, Players, and Fans (what we would give and why).
