WVU vs North Texas

  • Josh Eilert director of basketball operations...called around and got North Texas.
  • North Texas was the 2020 Conference USA champion.
  • This game replaced Robert Morris.
  • Felt like we once again played to the competition.
  • Oscar a non-factor in this game.

    WVU vs #19 Richmond, WVU wins 87-71

  • Chris Mooney’s mask was strange!
  • Richmond is averaging 78 points per game.
  • Old gold and blues.
  • High low with Deuce as the low!
  • Grant Golden headband and hair.
  • Is Oscar afraid to dunk?
  • Wow what a first half. Especially the last 5 mins. This is the team we expected to see!!
  • 52 - 28 at the half.
  • Shoots 58% for the game. Huggs not surprised.
  • 57% for 3s.

Segment 2: Bluff the Fluffs

  • Featuring trivia on Scoot's home state of Connecticut.

Segment 3: Football

  • WVU vs Oklahoma Canceled due to WVU shutting it down for a week.
  • Shane Lyons on Talkline...
    • Program on hold til Dec 17th.
    • Thinks that it had a lot to do with the time off.. Players around others/family/etc.
    • There were increased positive tests with Student athletes and increased athletes in contact tracing protocols.
    • Expecting the Bowl game to be like an away game... Show up nite before... play... and get out!
    • Says $25 to $30 Million in deficient this year with no fans and decreases $$$ from the conference and TV deals.
  • Will we play in a bowl?
  • Darius Stills and other seniors don't get to play their last game at Mountaineer Field (and here's a look at the players likely not returning for next season).
  • Fields opting out.
  • Texas vs Kansas Game Cancelled too.
  • Big 12 Championship is OU vs Iowa State... but if OU can't field a team... Texas will take their place.

Bowl Games

  • College football playoff selection show is is Sunday, 12/20...followed by the bowl announcements, but most will come out early (or leak out) this week.
  • How Many Bowl Games will get cancelled this year? Bowl Bids on Dec 20th.
  • Current Cancelled Bowls: Redbox Bowl, Bahamas Bowl, Hawaii Bowl (Christmas eve staple), Holiday Bowl, Quick Lane Bowl, PinStripe Bowl, Sun Bowl (2nd oldest continuously played Bowl game), Las Vegas Bowl.
  • Also the 2 of the All Star Bowl are cancelled - Shrine Bowl and NFLPA Bowl.
  • Senior Bowl and Hula Bowl are still currently scheduled to be played.
  • BC declined to play in a bowl game... School decides not to play.
  • In 2019 - 2020 there were 46 Bowl Games.
