- A really good (surprisingly good?) atmosphere for Saturday’s game
- Attendance was 50K
- Geno Smith, Tavon Austin, and Stedman Bailey inducted into WVU’s Sports Hall of Fame before the game.
- Bob Huggins also recognized at the game for his Hall of Fame induction
- WVU piled up 624 total yards, 308 passing and 316 rushing
- Tony Mathis rushed for 104 yds and 2 td (Mathis exceeded his career total for tds)
- CJ Donaldson rushed for 101 and 3 td (now has 6 career tds)
- After the game Mathis say he is the speed and CJ is the power!
- All 4 QBs saw action
- Crowder, Greene, and Marchiol combined to go 11/16 for 134 yds and 2 td
- Towson’s lone score was a 96 yd kick return
- Neal Brown said this game was “really important for the morale of the football team”
- Charles Woods had surgery on his injured ankle. Timeline for return still a bit uncertain.
