On this week's Got Your Eers On?, WVU Football gets completely dominated at home by Mike Gundy and the Oklahoma State Cowboys and loses a lot of goodwill from the last two weeks in the process, we give our predictions for the upcoming WVU Basketball season, and Bluff the Fluffs quizzes us on our knowledge of sports movies!   • Worst Offensive Game since Opening game vs Nebraska in 1994....
  • HCNB blames the matchup... HCNB basically saying the best he can do is not going to win the game.
  • Said we were thin
  • WVU only crossed the 50 yard line on the first drive and the last drive. 12 drives. 7 of them 3 and outs.
• Doege
  • His 40th start as an NCAA QB
  • looked like he was back in the Bowl game
  • He now holds the record for Sacks in a single game for WVU at 8
  • averaged 2.6 yards on 1st down plays
  • But... is Greene better? Probably not?

Segment 1: WVU vs Oklahoma State, LOSS, 24-3

First Half

• These shadows...

• Sam James picks up 32 yard on a screen pass
  • I think if James doesn’t get tripped up a sec ago he’s got a lot more yards

• ESPN call him Ger-ard Parker. Like the Frenchman. Haha
• Nice. 3-0. Looked like a bad snap.
• (At this point, Scoot goes through some kind of brain injury on the text machine. I still don't really know what happened. Omitting those texts.)
• Alston big on that series. Crowd looks decent.
• That’s a horrible play call out of that sack. Terrible series.
• Doege sailed that horribly. Ryan was open. Doege overthrown. Punt still lead
• Spectacular interception by Dante!
• Tony Mathis with a GREAT play on the fumble recovery. Geez...
• Sumptner doing the Pat McAfee chipping motion after the punt.
• Greene gets a good run, cool. No need to force more. Offense feels like it outsmarted itself that last set.
• OSU with great field position again.
• Scoot, Cheesy Gordita Crunch’s getting some love a sec ago.
• Bartlett roughing penalty was a killer.
• Starting to look bad guys. Throw the f*cking ball! Wtf? Doege is going back to being Doege.
• Orlovsky called him Ger-ard again. Haha.
• Thankfully, Ok State has decided running the ball was too boring.
  • 3 flea flickers and a jet sweep?
  • Giving up only 3 there is a win, I think
• 61 total yards in the 1st half.
• Gundy wears more turtlenecks than any other coach in America.
• We’re obviously getting under pressure JD today…
• Major Harris has his number 9 retired at the end of the first quarter.
  • Bill Nevin, awesome as always.

2nd Half

• HUGE STOP to start the half.
• Unrelated: I had some popcorn for maybe the first time in over a year.
• GET RID OF IT. THROW IT. He was wide open.
• Defense is going to have to score a TD
• Orlovsky is the first person though that has actually been realistically critical of Doege
• Defense good. Special teams good… offense sucks...
  • Never mind about special teams...
• Ummm also. Can I just complain that I hate that ESPN has “W. Virginia” on the bottom ticker.
• I’m also walking back some of my O line criticism. Doege’s just not making passes when he has the opportunity.
• These injuries are bad. Woods and then Dixon.
• That lob’s too easy over Matthews...
• My boy….Getting booed. How dare they.
  • Can I please see a coach yell at him one time to at least satisfy me
  • Blocking isn’t great, but he won’t throw the ball…
• I might have to turn this off. We still have a whole quarter left...
• They have lost everything that they did last week
• Maybe Major will come out and play a series
• Like I think I like angry football coach better than passive football coach

• What are the positives we take from this game?
  • Defense has played strong.
  • Sumpter has had some really good punts

  • Can’t even manage a positive yard…
• It was a lazy behind BFW pass that was like 7 yards and needed 12.
  • And BFW looked at the sideline like wtf was that.
• At this point stop running the ball. There should 0 runs.
• We are breaking records today.

• I’ve got word that the Doege’s are going to release the nude pics at midnight if he doesn’t stay in.
• I want to fist fight people.
• Orlovsky: speaking what the people think
• I think Goose is a true fresh and if he is worth anything at this point. They will redshirt him. After today he can see time and still have the RS designation
• Turnover on downs
• Bruce Irvin has to be thinking maybe I can just sneak out

• “Played good enough to win on defense”
• “They took advantage of mistakes like the fumble by Garret”
• Almost 1/2 the WVU came from the first drive of the game
• “Not a great matchup for us… Offense to defense”
• We rolled the dice a few times and they won every time”
• “Esdale out… BFW didn’t practice all week… Dante didn’t practice and we are not a deep team”
• “We couldn’t get our run game going. That put us at a disadvantage “
• No one asked any questions about Doege.

Doege:

• “Need to watch the film and learn from it and grow from what happened”
• “I just want to make a play. I want to make a play to turn things around”
• “We needed to get first downs and get temp is what Parker was saying” to Doege
• “Coach Gundy told me I been playing better, but they have a good defense”
• “They didn’t surprise us. We just could execute the plays”
